A New Chapter Unfolds
Through Transform Ukraine, the integrated community transformation arm of One Collective, we have witnessed the power of unity in action. For years, the Transform Uzhhorod Alliance has faithfully served our city through twelve committed churches and 24 NGOs, each carrying forward the mandate of bringing forgiveness and hope to our community. While their individual efforts have been meaningful, we sensed God calling us to something greater—a more intentional, collaborative approach to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout Uzhhorod.
Your Partnership Bears Fruit
Thanks to your prayers and support, a vision that began in planning meetings between Igor Minenko, a dedicated Alliance member, and me has now become a beautiful reality. We launched the Forgiveness Focus Group, bringing together pastors from across our community with a shared heart for transformation.
On April 22, we held our inaugural quarterly Forgiveness Focus Group meeting, and the response exceeded our highest expectations. What began as collaboration among our twelve Alliance churches has blossomed into something much larger. Pastors from 21 churches gathered together, representing the rich diversity of Christ’s body in our city.
Unity in Beautiful Diversity
The gathering was a testament to the unifying power of the Gospel. These faithful servants of God represented eight different denominations:
- Adventist
- Baptist
- Charismatic
- Greek Catholic
- Lutheran
- Messianic
- Methodist
- Pentecostal
Despite their different traditions and practices, they came together with one shared vision: working collaboratively to ensure every person in Uzhhorod has the opportunity to encounter the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
Looking Forward Together
This Forgiveness Focus Group represents a shift from reactive ministry to proactive partnership. Rather than working in isolation, these churches are now united in fostering genuine community transformation. They understand, as Jesus demonstrated, that compassion and mission cannot be separated—that physical, social, and spiritual needs must all be addressed if true transformation is to take place.
