Church Plant Reaches 13,500 Ukrainians: Velyki Lazy Ministry Update

God is Moving in Velyki Lazy! 🙏

Something incredible is happening in the heart of Ukraine! In the village of Velyki Lazy, God is orchestrating a beautiful story of hope, faith, and community transformation that’s capturing hearts and changing lives.

A Vision Taking Shape

One Community Church is more than just a building project—it’s a beacon of hope for an entire region! Through the powerful partnership of Transform Uzhhorod Alliance, New Hope Evangelical Church, and One Collective, we’re witnessing the early stages of what promises to be a life-changing ministry.

The Harvest Field is Ready

Picture this: 13,500 people across nine villages, all within just a five-kilometer radius of Velyki Lazy, are waiting to hear the Gospel message. These are our neighbors, families, and friends who have never had an evangelical witness in their community. The spiritual hunger is real, and the opportunity is unprecedented!

Faith in Action

Even in these planning stages, God’s people are already at work:

  • Monthly Prayer Gatherings: The dedicated leadership team from New Hope Evangelical Church meets faithfully each month in the church shell, interceding for their community and seeking God’s direction for the ministry ahead.
  • Youth Ministry Flourishing: Our team is already making a difference in young lives, establishing relationships and planting seeds of faith in the next generation.

Your Partnership Powers This Vision

The support of prayer and financial partners has been instrumental in bringing this vision to life. Every prayer lifted up and every dollar invested is helping transform not just a community, but thousands of lives across nine villages.

As One Community Church moves from planning to reality, the partnership between Transform Uzhhorod Alliance, New Hope Evangelical Church, and One Collective continues to demonstrate the power of unified ministry. The harvest is truly plentiful in Velyki Lazy, and God is raising up workers to gather it in.

“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” – Matthew 9:37-38
