Sasha (left) is one of the IDP men in our home. His family moved on to Europe and now he ministers to other IDP families who arrive in our center. Robert (right) was an Economics Professor in Kyiv. He watched from his window as a Russian tank blew up a bridge right next to his home. He grabbed a suitcase and came to Uzhhorod on the next train. Arriving in Uzhhorod he called for a taxi, and Rostik, one of the elders in our church, was his taxi driver. Rostik took him to our shelter and cared for him, bringing him medicine that he needed. Professor Robert was a humble man who served as a volunteer caring for IDP families. After a month, the local university hired him and gave him an apartment. He came back yesterday to thank us by cooking an authentic Georgian meal.
