Picture yourself standing at a village school in Ukraine, where summer day camps are about to begin. You’re part of something Jesus is orchestrating across thirteen unreached villages surrounding Velyki Lazy—a movement that began with a simple yes to His call.
Through your partnership with New Hope Evangelical Church in nearby Uzhhorod, you’ve helped assemble a team led by Sasha, whose heart burns for these forgotten places. Watch as the summer unfolds before you. Jesus is moving. Children are streaming into day camps held in each of those thirteen village schools, and you’re building these relationships alongside Sasha’s team. These aren’t just programs—they’re divine appointments orchestrated by the Savior you serve and support.
The strategy Jesus laid on Sasha’s heart was brilliant: reach the children first, then invite their parents deeper. Throughout the summer, seeds were planted, relationships were formed, and parents began to take notice.
Then September arrives. Can you see the village park? Six families have gathered—parents who saw something different in their children after those summer camps. Doug and Marina stand ready to lead them through a course on joyful parenting. This isn’t a crowd of dozens; it’s an intimate gathering, the kind Jesus often used to transform hearts. You were there in spirit at that first meeting, a picnic right there in the park. Your prayers carried them. Your support made it happen.
Shortly after, the momentum builds. Can you feel the anticipation? Thirty young people—teenagers hungry for something real—show up for the first youth ministry meeting you helped launch. Then in October, the weekly children’s club is born, and you’re right there with them, having made it all possible through your faithful partnership.
Because of Jesus working through you, One Community Church has been born.
But this isn’t the end of the story—it’s just the beginning. The same Jesus who multiplied loaves and fishes is multiplying your faithfulness across these villages. Every prayer you’ve prayed, every gift you’ve given, every moment you’ve stood with us has become part of His redemptive work in Velyki Lazy and beyond.
