God continues to pour out His blessings as One Community Church takes root among thirteen unreached villages just north of Uzhhorod, Ukraine, all because of your faithful prayers and financial partnership who stand with us in this ministry. Though the church building remains under construction and not yet ready for gatherings, Jesus is moving powerfully ahead of the walls, drawing hearts through relationships built by His grace. Marina and I play a humble role in leading a monthly parents’ focus group, where adults from the villages come hungry for wisdom rooted in Scripture. The second gathering recently brought together seven parents in the historic Ploteni Palace—the very room once graced by Johannes Brahms and Franz Liszt for private concerts—now transformed into holy ground where biblical truth is proclaimed.

In this meeting, the Lord enabled the teaching of a Christ-centered approach to parenting: guiding children toward responsibility by offering reasonable choices and allowing them to experience natural consequences. This stands in loving opposition to the common patterns of constantly rescuing children from difficulty, ruling through fear and authoritarian control, or prioritizing friendship over godly leadership through permissive indulgence. Parents listened intently, asked deep questions, and left equipped with practical hope—hope that only comes from Jesus. Every open door, every changed perspective, every seed of faith planted is the direct fruit of the prayers lifted and the resources given by those who partner in this work. All glory belongs to Jesus alone; He is the One building His Church, using every supporter as a vital part of His redemptive story in these villages.
