Church of the Living God, one of our partners in caring for IDP families, holds their worship service in our cafe as their worship center is full of beds for IDP families. IDP families worship with church members as they sing the Prayer for Ukraine which was written by Oleksandr Konysky (lyrics) and Mykola Lysenko (music) in 1885 for a children’s choir performance. The song was performed by the Ukrainian Chorus Dumka for the opening of “Saturday Night Live” on February 26, 2022 after the Russian invasion of Ukraine had started two days earlier.
