Pastor Sasha Masuk has been serving in the Ukrainian military defending infrastructure in Zakarpattia Oblast while his wife Marina and his boys have been providing leadership to Youth of God Salvation Church in Kyiv. Marina and Sasha have also been serving in Church of the Living God in Uzhhorod, a member of the Transform Uzhhorod Alliance, during his military service. Sasha often preaches and Marina leads a worship team. His family has been cared for through the Alliance’s Sister Church Association sponsored by Christ Church of Lake Forest (Illinois). Christ Church has graciously been supporting Pastors Sasha and Marina’s ministries since the beginning of the war but that support has now come to an end.
Pastors Sasha and Marina now start a new chapter in their lives as Sasha has been honorably discharged from the military and this precious couple has now returned full-time to Youth Of God Salvation Church in Kyiv. But he has not forgotten his comrades he has left behind and organizes humanitarian aid for them and their families.
They are now looking for a new Sister Church that can come alongside them in this new chapter. He wrote that he does not know how we can provide for his family as half of his church have either fled Ukraine or are fighting on the front lines. The church is not able to pay an adequate salary. Perhaps a church reading this report might come along side them. You can write to me at doug.landro@onecollective.org if you would want to explore how to support them.
