The Church of the Living God, aligned with the Transform Uzhhorod Alliance, recently hosted this year’s second Evangelism School of Leadership (ESL) in Uzhhorod. The ESL program is designed to instruct participants in the Evangelism Explosion method, a structured approach to sharing one’s faith.
From February 13-16, the program brought together six students from various local congregations. The structure of the school involved pairing each student with a trainer. After daytime classes, these pairs took to the streets in the evenings for practical experience, allowing the students to observe and gradually participate in faith-based conversations.
Throughout the week, the combined efforts of students and trainers meant the Gospel was shared with 380 people, with 230 expressing their commitment through a prayer of confession.
The ESL initiative is part of Bo Bowen’s extensive work in evangelism training, which spans over 50 years and has impacted numerous churches across Ukraine. One Collective, also part of the Transform Uzhhorod Alliance, provided their Connection Café as a space for meals and fellowship during the event. Moreover, Marina Landro of One Collective played a key role as a translator, facilitating clear communication throughout the leadership school.
The ESL’s recent session in Uzhhorod is another chapter in the ongoing effort to foster faith leadership and community outreach, reflecting a growing spirit of collaboration among local churches and ministries.
