Summary of the Events
RF solidified their positions after taking Lysychansk. They made several attempts to take more territory but were repelled on all fronts.
Battle for the Donbas (Donetsk and Luhansk)
Target Lysychansk/Siversk – Although Russia controls Lysychansk, pockets of UAF saboteurs remain to create problems for RF.
Target Bakhmut – RF heavily shelled Spirne, Verkhnokamyanka, and Vershyna. They also conducted an airstrike on Vershyna. RF also tried to take the Vuhlehirsk Thermal Powerplant and Berestove but were repelled.
Target Kramatorsk/Slovyansk – RF are preparing for an all-out attack on Slovyansk and Kramatorsk after taking Lysychansk. For the second day in a row, RF shelled Slovyansk heavily. Six were killed on Sunday and another six on Monday. Another 35 were injured in the two days of attacks. Kramatorsk also was hit with MLRS destroying a hotel. RF attempted to take Bilohorivka but were repelled.
Expansion from Donetsk – UAF forces shelled Donetsk hitting the railway station.
Battle for Kherson
UAF forces are within 1 km (3280 feet) from Kherson, within sniper fire range. UAF is focusing on retaking the Kherson region.
Russia has replaced the Ukrainian government in Kherson and replaced them with Russian leaders and has formed a Russian Cabinet of Ministers.
Battle for Kharkiv
RF shelled Kharkiv and conducted an airstrike on Petrivka. RF attempted to take Sosnivka but were repelled.
Other Ukraine Regions
Black Sea – UAF planted the Ukrainian flag on Zmiinyi (Snake) Island officially taking back the island.
Sumy – RF fired missiles on Esman destroying a school. They also fired mortars against Nova Sloboda destroying a commercial center and power plant. In the evening Bilopillya came under heavy fired by five missiles and 28 mortar bursts injuring two people.
International Support
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese visited Kyiv on Sunday and pledged $100 million in military assistance bringing their total aid up to $390 million. Included in the package are 14 armored personnel carriers and another 20 armored vehicles. He also promised to send more drones.
Canada has become the first country to confiscate Russian assets in their country and turn them over to Ukraine to rebuild the country.
