Summary of the Events
RF forces attempted assaults mostly in the area of Siversk, but were repelled with heavy losses. UAF destroyed two more RF weapon depots.
Battle for the Donbas
Target Siversk – RF fired on both civilian and UAF targets in at least six communities east of Siversk and including Siversk. RF attempted assaults Verkhnokamyanske, Spirne, and Serebrianka but were repelled from each one. A RF assault on Hryhorivka is still in progress.
Target Bakhmut – RF fired on at least eight communities around Bakhmut including the city itself. The worst hit was Toretsk where an apartment building was destroyed killing six civilians and injuring at least two others.
Target Slovyansk – RF fired artillery against at least nine communities around Slovyansk and conducted another airstrike on Bohorodychne.
Target Kramatorsk – RF fired four MLRS rockets at the industrial district of Kramatorsk.
Expansion from Donetsk – RF fired artillery and conducted airstrikes against seven communities. RF ground forces attacked Kamianka, Novomykhailivka, and Vuhledar, but were forced back with heavy losses.
Battle for Kharkiv
RF continue to shell civilian neighborhoods north of Kharkiv to prevent UAF forces from advancing towards the Russian border or moving troops down to threaten their position at Izyum. I counted eight communities attacked on Monday.
RF fired a MLRS on civilians in the village of Pechenihy killing one person and injuring another.
Battle for Kherson
UAF blew up two more Russian weapons depot near Blahodatne and Davydiv Brid killing 52 Russian soldiers, several rocket launchers, a howitzer, a mortar, and seven armored vehicles.
Other Regions
Chernihiv – RF continue to regularly conduct aerial reconnaissance and fire on UAF along the Russian border.
Dnipropetrovsk – RF fired 60 MLRS rockets on residential targets in Nikopol across the river from their nuclear power plant stronghold. A 75-year-old woman was hospitalized. Around a dozen homes were destroyed.
RF blew up a grain elevator and damaged a school near Dnipro.
Mykolaiv – For the second day in a row, Mykolaiv was attacked by a barrage of missiles.
Odesa – RF fired four missiles from aircraft over the Odesa region. One was shot down. Two hit a military target, and the third hit the bridge over the Dniester estuary in Zatoka. The bridge is one of the supply routes bringing weapons into Ukraine and grain out of Ukraine.
Sumy – RF continue to regularly conduct aerial reconnaissance and fire on UAF along the Russian border.
Other News
It is confirmed that a third British soldier is being held by the illegitimate Donetsk People’s Republic. John Harding has been fighting with the Azov regiment in Mariupol since 2018 and was captured when the last of the defenders had surrendered in May. The two other British mercenaries are facing the death penalty, and it is presumed that Mr. Harding is as well.
International Support
Swedish fashion retailer H&M announced it will totally pull its business from Russia. It had suspended all activity back in March, but with this move has no intention of returning to operation in Russia.
The EU expanded their sanctions on Russia to include a ban on Russian gold and more dual-use goods. 48 individuals and nine legal entities were also added to the sanction list including the deputy Prime Minister of Russia and top management of Sberbank. Hungary blocked any attempts to add more of Russia’s energy sector to the sanction list.
