UAF are boosting their fortifications along the border with Belarus to maxiumu.

Battle for the Donbas

A very angry and maniacal Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered his troops to capture all the Donbas by September 15. He is afraid of losing control of Kherson and Zaporizhian regions he has taken, as well as the area north of Kharkiv, and needs his troops to defend those regions.

Target Bakhmut – Fighting continues in the cities of Soledar and Bakhmutske, as well as in the direction of Bakhmut. RF tried to improve their position near Vesela Dolyna but were not successful. RF also attempted to advance towards Kodema but were repulsed. Chechen units who were sent to guard Mariupol have now been seen in the Donbas for an offensive against Mayorsk and Zaitseve.

Target Slovyansk – RF tried to break through the UAF defense line near Dolyna but failed.

Target Donetsk Defense Line – Fighting continues in Marinka but neither side is making any gains. RF attempted to advance toward Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, and Novobakhmutivka but were repulsed. RF also attempted to advance on Opytne, Pervomaiskyi, and Nevelske but were not only repulsed but were pushed farther back.

Battle for Kherson (includes Mykolaiv)

UAF continue to pound RF positions on the counter-offensive in the Kherson while keeping a shroud of secrecy over settlements that have been liberated. On Thursday, UAF conducted 18 strikes against RF command centers, logistic facilities, and weapon depots. Six weapon depots were destroyed along with 102 Russian soldiers killed. Two ferry crossings were also hit attempting to bring reinforcements over the Dnipro River. Equipment destroyed included six tanks, a howitzer, a MLRS, a mobile mortar launcher, and eight armored vehicles.

Ukraine continues to keep everything secret, but some things can be figured out. The fact that UAF fired on Kreschenivka must mean that they have liberated Petrivka in the north. UAF have also gained ground towards Ol’hyne. RF tried to push towards Potomkyne and Vysokopilya but were stopped. But fighting is reported on the outskirts of Vysokopilya, so that city is under contest. UAF seem to have entered Arkhanhelske placing that town in contest as well. Fighting has been reported at Sukhyi Stavok but is covered by the fog of war. Overall, UAF has gained some ground, but not as much as was hoped.

UAF struck a recreation facility in occupied Kherson which Russian soldiers were using as barracks.

RF fired missiles into Mykolaiv on Saturday hitting garages and damaging nearby private homes. One woman was injured due to shrapnel.

Battle for Zaporizhia

The fifth reactor of the Zaporizhian Nuclear Power Plant was reconnected to the power grid on Friday. The International Atomic Energy Agency announced that they will keep two of their inspectors at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant until Sunday or Monday.

UAF struck a convoy of Russian trucks heading south for Berdyansk, some of them full of corpses being taken for cremation.

UAF also conducted strikes against the airport of occupied Melitopol where RF were sending reinforcements on their way to defend Kherson.

Battle for Kharkiv

RF fired a missile at a residential building in Kharkiv over Thursday night. There were no civilian casualties. Later in the day RF hit a sports complex in Kharkiv with missiles.

RF attempted an assault on Husarivka but were repelled.

Other Regions

Chernihiv – RF carried out massive attacks on border towns and villages on Saturday. Residential and business buildings were hit, but there were no casualties.

Dnipropetrovsk – UAF destroyed a weapon depot near Melitopol over Thursday night. In comparison, RF shelled residential buildings in Nikopol over the night injuring one civilian who was hit driving his car.

RF fired five missiles at Dnipro Saturday morning, but they were all shot down. Later in the day, RF attacked Zelenodolsk hitting eight high-rise apartment buildings, shops, two schools, and a government building. One 9-year-old boy was killed and another ten people were injured.

Sumy – RF continue to shell UAF positions along the border to pin them down from assisting in the liberation of Kherson.

Other News

Another Russian oligarch has mysteriously died. Ravil Maganov, chairman of the board of directors of the Russian oil company Lukoil, fell from a six-story window in a hospital where he was being treated. Speculation is that the growing number of Russian oligarchs dying mysteriously is evidence that the oligarchs are turning against Putin because of the damaging sanctions.

Kazakhstan President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev announced democratic reforms that surely must be angering Russian President Vladimir Putin. Russia has finally removed its troops from Kazakhstan after putting down riots, and immediately Tokayev announced amnesty for those protestors and gave into their demands by putting forth legislation limiting a president to one seven-year term. He even went as far to take the mandatory teaching of the Russian language out of the schools (as well as English) noting that students should first learn Kazakh before learning another language. Kazakhstan also will support Western sanctions on Russia and will increase oil exports to European countries via routes bypassing Russia.

International Assistance

In response to the concern of a nuclear disaster coming from the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant that is constantly in danger due to Russian shelling around the reactors, the European Union announced they will give 5.5 million potassium iodide tablets to Ukraine.
