Summary of the Events

Russia conducted another mass missile strike on critical infrastructure.

Other News

Russia fired 70 cruise missiles and launched 5 drones against energy infrastructure and residential targets in an erroneous attempt to demoralize Ukrainian resolve to defend their country and drive Ukraine to the negotiation table. Nearly 75% of the cruise missiles and all the drones were shot down before hitting their targets. The nineteen cruise missiles that did get through hit targets in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Zaporizhia, Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Poltava, and Kirovohrad Oblasts. The attacks caused widespread disruptions to energy, heating, and water supplies.

International Support

The European Parliament declared Russia a “state sponsor of terrorism” and urged the European Unit to follow suit. Maybe this will finally nudge President Biden to do the same as well.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development approved a loan to Ukraine of $387 million to repair its energy infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks.
