The Netherlands Shut Down Their Embassy in Moscow – Day 361 (February 19, 2023)

UAF – Ukrainian Forces

UGS – Ukrainian General Staff
RF – Russian Forces

R-MoD – Russian Ministry of Defense

Summary of the Events

The major phase of the Russian offensive seems to be petering out even before it gets started. Russian forces are unable to fight within battalions and are operating in smaller units. The lack of tanks suggests that Russia is struggling to replace equipment. It is expected that Russia will gain more ground in the short term but will culminate before it reaches its objective of taking all of the Donbas region.

Eastern Ukraine: (Russia’s Main Objective)

Kreminna – UAF repelled all RF attacks around Kreminna, Chervonopopivka, Dibrova, and Bilohorivka.

Kupyansk – UAF repelled all RF attacks against Hryankivka, Synkivka, and Stelmakhivka.

Donetsk Oblast: (Russia’s Second Objective)

Bakhmut – RF have lessened their attacks as their numbers continue to dwindle. But they likely are still on the initiative and gaining ground one house at a time. RF have reached the first line of high-rise apartments on the eastern side of the city.

RF did not capture all of Paraskoviivka as claimed but have reached the center. RF advanced closer to Zaliznyanske but UAF still control the M30 highway. UAF repelled all other attacks towards Dubovo-Vasylkiv, Berkhivka, Ivanivske, and Chasiv Yar. RF did cross the canal south of Chasiv Yar, but one valiant Ukrainian tank threw them back.

Siversk – UAF repelled all attacks against Vyimka, Rozdolivka, and Fedorivka.

Avdiivka/Donetsk – UAF repelled all RF assaults towards Vesele, Vodiane, and Sieverne.

Marinka – UAF repelled all RF assaults towards Pobieda and Novomykhailivka.

Vuhledar – UAF repelled all RF assaults towards Vuhledar.

Southern Ukraine: (Eastern Kherson, Southern Zaporizhia, and Western Donetsk)

No change on the ground over the last 48 hours in this region.
