February witnessed a series of eventful developments aimed at enhancing inclusivity, understanding, and support among members and the wider community. We are so thankful to Christ Church of Lake Forest (Illinois) for coming alongside YGSC as a Sister Church in these difficult times.

These initiatives are part of a broader strategy to engage the community in meaningful discussions and spiritual development.

A notable aspect of these initiatives is the congregation’s engagement in an online Evangelism course, which facilitated thematic communication sessions on complex topics such as “God and War,” “Church and Islam,” and “Attitudes towards Communities with Non-Traditional Orientation.” These discussions play a vital role in promoting a well-informed, compassionate, and inclusive community ethos.

In mid-February, the leadership team held a retreat aimed at prayer, study, and strategic planning. This event was critical in setting the direction and objectives for the church’s activities over the next six months, ensuring a focused and impactful approach to its mission and community service efforts.

The church has continued its commitment to providing support to those in need, including displaced individuals and military personnel. A current initiative involves fundraising for a car trailer for a church member serving in the army, exemplifying the church’s practical support and solidarity with individuals serving and protecting the community.
