City of Life Church (Kyiv, Ukraine) and Perimeter Church (Atlanta, Georgia) have been brought together through the Sister Church program by Transform Ukraine, an alliance of churches and NGOs bringing about transformation through the initiative of One Collective. This Sister Church initiative was created to allow Ukrainian churches to continue their ministries in these trying financial times brought on by war.
Together, these two churches are bringing the love of Jesus to the men and women in military service. City of Life Church has a team of chaplains that regularly visit soldiers at various locations along the frontlines, with soldiers defending positions in the interior, with family members anxious about their separated loved ones, and with the injured finding respite in the hospitals. Wherever these chaplains go, they share the love of Jesus with all of those they come with in contact. But not satisfied with just bringing the love of Jesus in word, this partnership of churches also brings the love of Jesus in deed providing much needed humanitarian aid such as food, clothes, blankets, and even heat.
There are currently twelve Ukrainian churches in the Sister Church program, with dozens more waiting to find their Sister Church. Follow this link for more information on how you might become involved in helping a Ukrainian Church find a Sister Church.
