Our social business, STUD Frame Homes, was making significant progress on constructing four new homes in the Velyki Lazy IDP Community. However, our project has come to a sudden halt in the past two weeks due to Ukraine’s intensified conscription program, which required almost all our workers to report to recruitment centers.
The workers have been granted a brief reprieve and will return next week to finish critical tasks. These include completing the third home where our construction team was residing, framing the next four homes, and installing the staircase and second floor of our church building. Once the third home is finished, an IDP pastor and his family, who have construction experience, will move in and lead the completion of the four new homes.
