It is with great excitement that Transform Ukraine unveils the latest milestone in our journey towards community transformation — a venture that is set to significantly contribute to the communities of Uzhhorod and Apostolove. Our concerted efforts with Serhii and Dmytro Holub have given rise to STUD Frame Homes, a venture integrating the vision and dedication of Serhii, Transform Ukraine, and Dmytro.
The craftsmanship of the Holub brothers has been vital in establishing the Velyki Lazy Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Community. Their latest achievement includes the erection of a cutting-edge frame home manufacturing facility in Apostolove. This achievement has been bolstered by the invaluable assistance of Borkholder Buildings and Supply from the United States and the nonprofit organization International Networx, both of which have been integral to our developmental efforts in Velyki Lazy IDP Community.
Apostolove Frame Housing Factory
STUD Frame Homes has already commenced its transformative impact on our communities by offering critical employment opportunities in Apostolove and providing much-needed housing for IDPs in Uzhhorod. Moreover, this partnership has facilitated the construction of the future One Community Church. This spiritual haven, poised to be the sole evangelical church within a five-kilometer (3-mile) radius of Velyki Lazy, aims to bring spiritual forgiveness to nearly 12,000 residents across ten unreached villages.
Velyki Lazy IDP Community and One Community Church
One Collective’s substantial investment in STUD Frame Homes mirrors their previous commitment to our initial social business, Carpathian Homes, the founding entity of the Velyki Lazy IDP Community. Looking forward, STUD Frame Homes is set to expand its transformative reach by establishing another frame home factory in Uzhhorod. This expansion promises to provide employment to the marginalized Rroma community and to offer affordable housing to many who have suffered due to the war.
Furthermore, STUD Frame Homes is actively collaborating with local authorities in regions ravaged by the Russian invasion to assist in rebuilding efforts. In a forthcoming initiative, Shade for Children, a member of the Transform Uzhhorod Alliance, has contracted with STUD Frame Homes to build their private group home for orphaned children, as a beacon of hope for the future.
At Transform Ukraine, we are filled with pride for these developments and eagerly look forward to the continued positive change our social business ventures will foster, both economically and socially, in the lives of our community members.
