What a testimony to God’s provision and your faithful partnership! The Lord continues to move powerfully through the Velyki Lazy IDP Community Project, and we are thrilled to share how He is using your prayers and generous support to transform lives in ways that exceed our expectations.
By God’s grace and through your partnership, we are nearing completion of the four homes in Stage Three, representing months of dedicated work that has provided shelter and hope to families who lost everything. Even more exciting, the Lord has enabled us to break ground on Stage Four, where ten more families will soon find refuge and restoration. When completed, this vibrant community will house seventeen families—each one a testament to how Christ works through His people to heal the brokenhearted.
We are deeply grateful for how the Lord has stirred hearts to give generously toward this vision. Special recognition goes to the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) and Perimeter Church in Atlanta, whose substantial grants have accelerated progress in remarkable ways. God has also blessed us with skilled workers through our social business, STUD Frame Homes, alongside local contractors who are grateful for meaningful work during these challenging times. The UMCOR grant has been particularly meaningful, as it specifically funds employment for refugees living dangerously close to the frontlines—transforming their circumstances while building homes for others in need.
The physical progress speaks to God’s faithfulness through your support: land has been expertly leveled, solid foundations laid, and the complete septic system for Stage Four installed and ready. But this is just the beginning of what Christ has in store. Our ultimate vision encompasses thirty families who will find not just temporary housing, but a place where they can heal, plan, and prepare to rebuild their lives once peace returns to their homeland.

After the war ends and families are able to return home and rebuild, this community will transform into a comprehensive trauma counseling center, where families wounded by war—including veterans struggling with PTSD and serious injuries—will find professional care and Christian hope. Once that crucial healing ministry is fulfilled, the community will then transition into a business training center and Christian retreat facility, creating a sustainable social enterprise that will fund future community transformation projects across the region.
As an added blessing, the community’s meeting hall will become the launching point for One Community Church, creating a spiritual foundation that will serve families for generations to come. Every aspect of this project reflects how God multiplies our efforts when we work together in faith and obedience to His calling.
While we celebrate these tremendous victories, the four homes of Stage Three still need your continued partnership to reach completion.
