Carpathian Homes, the social business of the Transform Uzhhorod Alliance, is in talks to merge with DAC Lumber as part of the Rebuild Ukraine Initiative. DAC Lumber already provides the building teams for our Velyki Lazy IDP Community. They recently purchased a lumber factory in Apostolove with help from Borkholder Building & Supplies (Indiana) and from proceeds from their work in Velyki Lazy. One of the buildings they are renting to another partner who will provide clean drinking water to the residents of Apostolove after their lake disappeared when Russia blew up the Kakhovka Dam. DAC is digging the well on their property. The second picture above is the temporary clean drinking water source provided by DAC in their building supply store. They are also allowing a German mission to place their portable bread factory on their property which will supply bread to the frontline city of Nikopol.
