From Invisible to Visible: How One Couple Are Transforming Ukraine’s Rroma Communities

Robert and Lena Gorniak continue to serve as vital members of the Transform Uzhhorod Alliance, bringing hope and practical support to the Rroma communities of Uzhhorod. As founding members who joined our alliance ten years ago, their dedication to transformation remains unwavering despite the ongoing challenges in Ukraine.

Serving the Yama Community

Robert pastors the Salvation Church in the Yama Rroma Community, ministering to several hundred of the most economically oppressed Rroma in the city. His leadership provides spiritual guidance and community support in an area facing significant hardship.

  • Nutritious meals for the children of Yama
  • Distribution of essential humanitarian aid

Sister Church Partnership

We’re excited to share that the Gorniaks have been matched with First Baptist Church (El Centro, California) through our Sister Church program. This nine-month partnership provides crucial support, enabling their ministry to function effectively during these difficult war years.
