Building Homes for Internally Displaced People Continues

Your unwavering commitment to our mission in Ukraine has been nothing short of inspiring. Through your generous prayers and financial support, you’ve been the bedrock of hope for countless internally displaced people seeking a place to call home. Today, I write to share with you the challenges we’ve faced and the remarkable progress we’ve made, all thanks to your steadfast partnership.

This spring, our project in Velyki Lazy faced an unexpected setback when one of our construction teams was illegally conscripted into the army, despite their lawful exemption. The fear that gripped our remaining workers brought our efforts to a temporary halt. But it’s in times like these that the power of your support shines brightest. Your prayers gave us the strength to persevere, and your funding allowed us to adapt swiftly, training a new team of dedicated young men to continue our vital work.

By September, your faith in our mission bore fruit as our new team arrived, breathing life back into our community. They’ve made tremendous strides, installing doors and windows, applying insulation, and even completing much of the exterior paneling on our last two homes. While unexpected needs temporarily redirected their efforts, we’re on track to resume work on the final two home frames by the end of October.

Your compassion has already provided shelter for two IDP families, and with your continued support, we aim to welcome five more families into their new homes by year’s end. We’re so close to completing this phase of our project, needing just $15,000 more to bring warmth and security to seven deserving families.

Every prayer you’ve uttered and every dollar you’ve donated has been a beacon of hope in these trying times. Your generosity isn’t just building houses; it’s rebuilding lives and restoring dignity to those displaced by conflict. As we push forward to complete these homes, know that you are the cornerstone of this community, and your impact will be felt for generations to come.

Thank you for standing with us, for believing in this mission, and for being the change these families so desperately need. Together, we are making a profound difference in Ukraine, one home at a time.
