Bucha was devastated by Russian occupation. Even though it was liberated nearly a year ago, the town still suffers from joblessness and homelessness. Bethany Bible Church is there to shine the light of Jesus over the troubled city. And their sister church, First Baptist Church of Alhambra (CA), has been there to help. They still prepare meals weekly at their church. Some people come to the church to eat, but the followers of Jesus also take food to the streets. Sixteen churches in Ukraine now have a Sister church.
