May 15 – Assisting Churches

We have started a Sister Church Association to assist pastors and churches in need because of the war. Pastor Sasha (with me on left) and Pasto Matt are the first to connect. Pastor Matt is from First Baptist Church Alhambra (California) and has been to Ukraine to teach at the Theological Seminary in Odesa. Pastor Sasha is from Bethany Baptist Church in Bucha (Ukraine). He was an IDP in our home, but this last weekend has returned to rebuild his church. But with most of the church family now living abroad, some having fallen victim during the Russian occupation of their city, and others out of work, the church is not able to pay him a salary to care for his own family. That is where the Sister Church Association comes in. Your church can adopt a Ukrainian church for $600 for six months to help the church get back on their feet. The Ukrainian church would gladly meet with your church family online as you and they are able to develop a connection. Write me at doug.landro@onecollective.org if you are interested in a Sister Church in Ukraine.
