Russia Bombs Shopping Mall in Vinnystsa Killing 23 Civilians – Day 141 (July 14, 2022)

Summary of the Events

Reports of RF going AWOL are mounting as UAF continue their precision attacks on RF units and weapon depots. RF has launched a major offensive towards Siversk and conducted another war crime attack on a shopping mall in Vinnytsia.

Battle for the Donbas (Donetsk and Luhansk)

Target Siversk – RF launched a massive assault towards Siversk destroying everything in their path and launching twelve missiles and conducting air strikes on several communities in their way in reaching Siversk. There is heavy fighting for the town of Verkhnokamyanske.

Target Bakhmut – RF fired a MLRS at Bakhmut killing one civilian and injuring five.

Target Kramatorsk/Slovyansk – Missiles fell on Kramatorsk and RF fired artillery at Slovyansk.

Expansion from Donetsk – RF fired missiles on Niu York and Kostyantynivka. Avdiivka was also shelled with artillery damaging the coke chemical plant. Three people were killed and five injured.

Battle for Kharkiv

Missiles fell on Kharkiv and Zolochiv destroying a furniture store and private homes.

Battle for Kherson

RF shelled Zelenodolsk and Velyka Kostromka, but no casualties were reported.

Ukraine has been silent on their campaign to liberate the Kherson region, but today announced that 44 settlements have been liberated so far.

Other Regions

Mykolaiv – RF missiles destroyed two educational institutions, a hotel, a transport facility, and a business center in Mykolaiv. At least one person was injured.

Sumy – RF fired over 20 MLRS against border towns in the early hours. Then in the afternnon they opened fire with mortars.

Zaporizhia – Missiles fell on a business in Zaporizhia injuring 14 civilians.

Vinnytsia – RF launched an airstrike at a shopping mall in Vinnytsia killing at least 23 people and injuring more than 90, including a small child. Fifty vehicles were also destroyed in the attack.

International Support

Rotary Club International has provided 35 ambulances to Ukraine.
