UAF – Ukrainian Forces
RF – Russian Forces

Summary of the Events

Both sides continue to make incremental progress toward their main targets.

Eastern Ukraine: (Eastern Kharkiv and Western Luhansk Oblast – UAF Counter-offensive)

Satellite images have shown that UAF are still in Novoselivske proving that Russian claims they had retaken the city are false. RF targeted Tavilzhanka and Bohdanivske suggesting that those two settlements have been liberated. RF claimed to have broken through UAF defenses at Yakovlivka.

Donetsk Oblast: (Russia’s Main Objective)

RF continue to make incremental progress towards Bakhmut and Avdiivka.

Southern Ukraine: (Eastern Kherson, Southern Zaporizhia, and Western Donetsk)

No change reported on the ground.

Other News

Russia again fired over 70 missiles at civilian and energy infrastructure targets in Kyiv, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhia, and Sumy Oblasts. UAF were able to shoot down 60 of them (85%) before they hit their targets. But the dozen that got through did more extensive damage to the energy grid.

But Ukraine made even bigger news by attacking Russian airbases that launched some of those missiles. Ukrainian drones attacked the Engels-2 airbase in Saratov Oblast which is 315 miles from the Ukrainian border damaging strategic bombers and missile carriers. Ukrainian drones also blew up a Russian fuel truck at the Dyagilevo Air Base in Ryazan Oblast which is 285 miles from the Ukrainian border. Either Ukrainian special forces are operating within Russian territory, or the attack was launched from Ukraine demonstrating the weakness of Russian defenses allowing drones to fly such long distances within their territory. Either way, it was most embarrassing to Russia.

Letters soaked in blood and containing animal eyes are being received at six Ukrainian embassies and three consulates in Europe.

Kyiv has set up 105 pump rooms throughout the capital for civilians to gather clean drinking water if they are unable to in their home.
