Ukraine Liberates Izyum and Svyatohirsk – Days 201-202 (September 12-13, 2022)

Summary of the Events

Ukraine has liberated over 300 settlements in the Kharkiv region over the last few days.

Battle for Kherson Region (Ukraine Offensive)

The cloud of secrecy continues over the Kherson counteroffensive so territorial gains are not known.

Over the last few days UAF have conducted several airstrikes against RF command centers, troop concentrations, and weapon depots.

Partisans detonated an explosive device killing Tetiana Tomilina, the Russian-installed rector of Kherson State University, in her apartment.

Battle for the Donbas (Russian and Ukrainian Offensives)

Target Slovyansk – UAF have moved on the offensive since the fall of Izyum and are pushing RF farther back from Slovyansk. UAF liberated Svyatohirsk on Monday.

Other Regions

Dnipropetrovsk – RF fired nine missiles on the Dnipropetrovsk region on Sunday, but seven of them were shot down. One missile hit a power line in Velyka Mykhailivka creating a power outage over most of the region. Two people were killed in that attack and a 19-year-old woman was hospitalized. The other missile struck Zaitseve, but no report has been released on casualties or damage.

On Monday, RF fired on Nikopol six times hitting 16 multi-story apartment buildings and private homes, as well as a stadium and gas pipelines. There was no report on casualties.

Kharkiv – RF fired a missile at a residential building in Kharkiv in the early hours on Sunday. One person was killed and two injured in the attack. Also, in retaliation for losing all the Kharkiv region, RF are targeting water and electrical plants throughout the region hoping to make life miserable for the inhabitants as temperatures begin to drop.

RF conducted two missile strikes against the city of Kharkiv on Monday killing one person and injuring six.

RF fired missiles on Lozova on Tuesday morning hitting a school. Information on casualties was not released.

UAF continue to mop up the Kharkiv region after RF have withdrawn. Pockets of RF are seeking ways to surrender to UAF instead of returning to Russia though.

Sumy – On Sunday, RF conducted four mortar attacks against Seredyna-Buda and opened fire three times on the village of Katerynivka with a large-caliber machine gun. There were no casualties because of these attacks on border communities.

On Monday, RF conducted artillery and mortar attacks, as well as large-caliber machine gun fire, on the border villages of Shalyhyne and Esman. There were no casualties.

Other News

RF conducted a massive revenge attack throughout eastern Ukraine on Sunday knocking out power for hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian civilians in Poltava, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Donetsk regions. But power was restored in amazing speed for most within forty minutes. Around 20,000 were still without power by the end of the day.

Ten thousand Chechen soldiers joined the fight in Ukraine on Sunday.

Russia reported that they have no intention to remove their troops from the territory of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) under UN pressure. They continue their lies that UAF are firing on the ZNPP.

International Support

The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Denmark, Belgium, and the Netherlands joined Poland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania in no longer accepting tourist visas from any Russian citizens.
