Summary of the Events
UAF has secured all Kupyansk and has begun liberating settlements in the Donetsk region. UAF have re-entered the Luhansk region by liberating Bilohorivka. RF continue to solely focus on taking Bakhmut where they have had minor success at a huge loss.
Battle for Kherson Region (Ukraine Offensive)
The region remains under a cloud of secrecy, but rumors are that UAF have reached Pravdyne which is now under contest. RF are making defensive retreats in order to prevent a repeat of UAF running over RF in the Kharkiv region last week.
Battle for the Donbas
Russia is planning on holding a referendum to annex all the Donbas (even though most of Donetsk region is still under UAF control). This will allow them to claim they are defending Russian territory as they prepare for a possible escalation with the use of nuclear weapons against Ukraine.
Battle for Bakhmut – RF made their only capture over the last few days by taking an electrical substation near Vesela Dolyna, but they were repelled on taking the town. Other unsuccessful offensives over the last two days were towards Bakhmut, Zaitseve, Kurdyumivka, Mykolaivka Druha, and Odradivka.
Battle for Slovyansk – After the fall of Izyum, RF are being pushed back from Slovyansk. UAF have liberated Yarova and Svyatohirsk and have reached the town of Sosnove which is now being contested. Rumors are that UAF have also liberated Studenok, but that has not yet been confirmed. UAF were able to build a pontoon boat over the Siversky Donets River at Bohorodychne, which indicates they have pushed back RF who were attacking that town.
Luhansk Liberation – UAF have liberated Bilohorivka.
Donetsk Line – RF attempted assaults on Marinka and Novomykhailivka but were not successful.
Other Regions
Kharkiv – UAF crossed the Oskil River and took the eastern half of Kupyansk. UAF have halted their counter-offensive in the region to focus on fortifying the territory they have already liberated in preparation for a Russian counterattack.
Mykolaiv – RF fired a missile which hit only 1000 feet from the reactors at the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant near Oleksandrivka. Buildings were damaged and 100 windows broken at the nuclear power plant. One reactor was shut down. There were no casualties.
Other News
Russia, unable to win any territory on the ground and being pushed back, continues to increase its attacks on civilian targets, as well as on infrastructure to cut off power and water from Ukrainian cities to produce hardships on civilians.
